Chef Mickey’s is one of our favorite Character Dining experiences. If you’d like to read about more on our Best of the Best of Disney, you can follow the preceding link. But we love Chef Mickey’s for a number of reasons that we will discuss in today’s review of Chef Mickey’s!
One of the things we love is the location. Located in the atrium of the Contemporary Resort.
The monorail running through, the high ceiling, the fun shops, it makes for a really cool environment.
We always love riding the escalators up to this open atrium that houses one of our favorite places to meet our favorite characters. It feels a lot like coming home.
This place offers a delicious meal in an all-you-can-eat buffet! It’s classic breakfast food with a Disney twist (which just means things come Mickey shaped). We always have to get the Mickey waffles and of course the bacon. There’s just something about Disney bacon that tastes so magical! And they have a great selection of sweet treats as well. For those that have food allergies, they also offer a wide array of dishes (some even specially prepared) so you can partake as well!
Just a warning, the reservations are pretty hard to come by, so make sure you make them as soon as possible. If you’ve got a larger group, it might be easier to split the group into two smaller groups and make reservations that way.
The views are pretty great too, if you can get a seat near the windows, we highly recommend it. But of course, the biggest thing we love about Chef Mickey’s is getting to meet the Fab Five!
Each character comes around to your table, so you can seat and enjoy the delicious food while you wait. And their interactions are so fun! Autographs and pictures until your heart’s content!
It can be a bit pricey too, but we think this is definitely one of the experiences that are worth the splurge at Disney! So if you get the chance, we highly recommend you giving this a try. I know we do, every chance we get!
