If you’re anything like us, you like to do a little research prior to booking a vacation. And you won’t get very far in your Disney research before you run across some abbreviations. Not knowing what those abbreviations mean can get a little frustrating, but have no fear, we are here to help!

Disney abbreviations

Below you will find some lists of common abbreviations and what they stand for:

Basic Disney Abbreviations

  • ADRs- Advanced Dining Reservations,
  • AP – Annual Pass(holder),
  • CM – Cast Member (everyone who works for Disney is referred to as a Cast Member),
  • CRO/DRC – Central Reservations Office/Disney Reservations Center (handles Resort and Dining reservations),
  • DAH – Disney After Hours,
  • DCL – Disney Cruise Line,
  • DDP – Disney Dining Plan,
  • DL – Disneyland,
  • (D)ME – (Disney’s) Magical Express,
  • DS – Disney Springs,
  • DVC – Disney Vacation Club,
  • EMH – Extended Magic Hours (the extra hours they add for guests staying OP that are before and/or after the hours the parks are open for the general public),
  • EMM – Early Morning Magic
  • FP(+) – FastPasses,
  • GR – Guest Relations,
  • HM – Hidden Mickey,
  • M&G – Meet and Greet,
  • MB – Magic Bands,
  • MDE – My Disney Experience,
  • MM – Memory Maker,
  • MNSSHP – Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party,
  • MVMCP – Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party,
  • MYW – Magic Your Way tickets,
  • OP – On Property (used to refer to the various Disney resorts, where you’ll receive the magical treatment from the moment you arrive),
  • PH – Park Hopper,
  • QS/CS and TS – Quick Service and Table Service (the two types of restaurants throughout WDW, Quick Service might also be called Counter Service),
  • Seasonal Pass (for Florida residents only),
  • TiW – Tables in Wonderland (a dining discount program),
  • WDW – Walt Disney World.

  • AK – Animal Kingom,
  • BB – Blizzard Beach Water Park,
  • EC – Epcot,
  • HS – Hollywood Studios,
  • MK – Magic Kingdom,
  • TL – Typhoon Lagoon.

  • LC – Lobby Concierge (formerly guest services),

  • AKV – Animal Kingdom Villas (a DVC resort),
