Bounceback offers at Disney World are great for anyone who wants to save some money on their future Disney trips.
When it comes to Disney, we know how quickly costs can add up. But we are here to help, with this useful but little known tip for getting a discount on your resort stay (and occasional Disney Dining Plan offer).
For anyone staying at a Disney resort, this makes you eligible for any available Bounceback offers. If you are not staying at a Disney resort, unfortunately, this won’t work for you.
These are named Bounceback offers because they want you to “bounceback” to a Disney resort again in the near future. If you are currently staying at a Disney resort, you will (potentially) be eligible to book a future stay with a discount of anywhere up to 30% off (deluxe resorts). But this is only if you book your next stay by 10 p.m. on the day you check out of said Walt Disney World resort.
We say potentially because you have to keep in mind that there are some nights that will have blackout dates. This means you won’t be able to take advantage of this method of getting a discount for those dates that are blacked out. Typically these blackout dates are around holidays and peak times of year (i.e. school breaks, or big events like the opening of Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge).
This goes for the rest of 2019 and there will likely continue to be Bounceback rates in 2020, though they have yet to be announced, so you will have to call x8844 at your resort to check. This extension is dedicated to booking Bounceback offers and the Cast Members (CMs) who staff it will have more knowledge about it than even the front desk CMs might have. So calling x8844 will tell you whether or not they offer this method of discount, for when you would like to book your next stay, at participating resorts.
Or you can talk to your certified Disney travel agent who can take care of it for you! They are well versed in this type of offer. They will be able to handle it for you, no muss, no fuss, no cost (for their services) to you. It doesn’t matter how you booked your Disney Resort stay. As long as you’re staying at a Disney Resort, you are eligible for available Bounceback offers. This is good for any participating Disney Resorts (even if your current resort doesn’t participate in this type of offer. You can book at another resort that does). It also doesn’t matter how long you stay at the resort. Even if you’re only there one night, you can take advantage of these available offers. But you must book before check-out (or by 10 p.m. of your check-out date).
Though there are offers you might get later on that are equivalent to the Bounceback rates, booking this far in advance usually gives you a better selection of rooms. And it guarantees that the resort will have a room for you at all. There have been times where we’ve gone to book a vacation (without using Bounceback offers) and couldn’t find an available room at our first choice of resort. So peace of mind is another good reason to take advantage of this opportunity.
If you’re still worried about booking this far in advance, just remember, your deposit is fully refundable up until 30 days prior to your check-in date. So booking this early will give you peace of mind that you’ll get a room. And you can rest easy knowing you can get your deposit back if you need to cancel for whatever reason. Again, as long as you do so prior to 30 days before your stay.
This is the basic information on Bounceback offers at Walt Disney World Resorts. Many people have no idea about these offers. That’s because the only way you’d hear about them is to stay at a resort. If you’re staying at a resort, Mousekeeping (the people who clean the rooms) should leave a flier in your room prior to checkout that notifies you of the Bounceback offers. However, there are a number of occasions where we have stayed On Property (OP) and never received the flier. If this happens to you, this doesn’t necessarily mean there aren’t any available offers or that you aren’t eligible. Not to fear! It is usually just an oversight. You can simply call x8844 from your room to speak with a specialist, or you can contact your travel agent.
