GLUTEN FREE BREAKFAST REVIEWS

THE CRYSTAL PALACE (T/CD)–Magic Kingdom

I ate here in the beginning of June 2016.

The Good: Like many of the Character Dining experiences at Disney World, it’s a buffet. And breakfast buffet means lots of GF options, including my most favorite: GF Mickey Waffles! I can just never get enough of the delightful fluffy Mickeys. We had scrambled eggs, bacon, breakfast potatoes, and sausage. They also provided GF cinnamon sugar donuts which were delicious. Winnie the Pooh and friends definitely add to the dining experience, making it a fun one to remember. Although, it’s one of the bigger restaurants that offer Character Dining, I felt it all moved in a timely fashion, from when we were sat, to when we got our food, to when we met the friends from Hundred Acre Wood.

The Bad: Nothing, really. While everyone knows breakfast buffets at Disney World aren’t anything special, they do suffice. I felt overall this was a positive, fun experience with delicious food. And once again, I was too filled to finish everything!

O’HANA (T/CD)–Polynesian resort

I’ve eaten here twice, the most recent being April of 2018.

The Good: Not only is this another fun character dining, especially if you love Lilo and Stitch, but it’s also family style dining. This means they bring out all of your food in a huge bowl. And if you are GF, you get your own! This has all the typical GF breakfast items—scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, breakfast potatoes, and you guessed it, GF MICKEY WAFFLES. I don’t know why, but I love the sausage here. I’m not sure if it is actually different than any of the other restaurant’s sausages, but it just tastes better here to me!

The Bad: Being Character Dining, it can add up! But in my opinion, the food and the ambiance are worth it.

CHEF MICKEY’S (T/CD)–The Contemporary

I ate here several years ago. It was my first experience with Disney’s breakfast buffets.

The Good: This Character Dining is one that I think everyone should experience at least once. Nothing beats meeting the fab five over scrambled eggs, bacon, and sausage. Nothing special at this buffet for GF, but I did meet an exceptionally kind chef here, who said he’d be delighted to make as many GF Mickey waffles as I wanted.

The Bad: It can be a bit crowded, and a little pricey. But definitely worth it.
