‘Ohana Character Dining Review

‘Ohana is located in the gorgeous Polynesian resort. Luscious greenery, vibrant flowers, and dark wood set the tone for this tropical beauty. Like most places at Disney World the detail is impeccable. From carvings and designs on the walls, to the stone work floors, to the giant nautical glass globes hanging from the ceiling. The Polynesian has a lot of imagery to take in. And we’ve got lots more great info in this Ohana Character Dining Review!

Upstairs is where you’ll find ‘Ohana. This restaurant offers a Character Dining Breakfast, or a fun and festive Polynesian-themed Dinner.

Today, we’re going to talk about the Character Breakfast, focusing mainly on the gluten free options.

For the Character Breakfast, you’ll want to make sure to make an Advanced Dining Reservation, or ADR as we like to call it. ‘Ohana is very popular and can be extremely hard to get in to. The earlier you make the reservation, the better. Also, be sure to really arrive the 15 minutes early, they ask you to when you make a reservation. Since it is so loved, there can be quite a long wait, even to just get checked in, and after getting checked in, you will have to wait for your table as well.

For Breakfast, ‘Ohana offers an all you can eat, family-style meal. That means they bring out huge bowls of bacon, sausage, breakfast potatoes, scrambled eggs, and Mickey waffles. And the best thing about this meal? EVERYTHING I JUST MENTIONED IS GF! Yes, they will make you GF Mickey waffles! And if you are dining with others who are not GF, they will bring out your food in it’s own bowl. Which also means you don’t have to share! Others who are not GF get biscuits, Hawaiian Welcome Bread, and iced cinnamon bread. They also offer a special drink, known as P.O.G juice. It’s a combo of passion fruit, orange, and guava juice. Very tasty! (Want more info on Gluten Free Food at Disney, click the link.)

The view from a window seat at ‘Ohana…that is the castle back there!

Another wonderful thing about ‘Ohana, is the views! If you are lucky enough to be seated at a window table, or if you don’t mind waiting a little longer, you can request a window seat, the views are incredible. You can see the Seven Seas Lagoon, or even the Castle.

Of course, while you’re gorging yourself on all the amazing food, Lilo, Stitch, and Mickey come around to your table, to sign autographs and take pictures. Pluto used to come around as well, but now he waits outside the restaurant, and you can meet him while you wait for your table to be ready.

Overall, the ‘Ohana Character Dining Breakfast is one of our favorites. From the atmosphere, to the views, to the fun characters, and the delicious food!
