More Disney Freebies

Part Two

Disney isn’t known for being an inexpensive place to visit, however, we always feel it’s worth the price! (Or else we wouldn’t keep going back over and over again!) So we’ve got more Disney freebies to help take the sting out of your pocketbooks. (If you missed our first freebies list, be sure to go back and check it out.)

But that doesn’t mean that everything at Disney will cost you a pretty penny. There are plenty of things you’ll be able to do for free! And we’ve got the second half of a great list of the best ones, to keep you covered!

If you’d prefer to watch a video about freebies, check out the one we did on our YouTube channel. If you’d rather read it, just jump down below the video.

Those not staying at a Disney Resort

Probably the number one Disney freebie that people take advantage of the most, are the Disney celebration buttons! These can be picked up at most customer service centers near the entrances of the parks. Whatever you’re celebrating, they’ll have a button for you! So be sure to pick yours up whenever you’re celebrating!

You can head on over to the Grand Floridian for another great couple of freebies. On various afternoons, the have a great group called the Jazz Society Band that you can go and listen to for free! They also have a great little event they call the Princess Promenade. It happens about 3:30 p.m. and it’s where kids ages 3-12 can “parade” down the main staircase at the Grand Floridian, with Cinderella. It’s super cute, and very entertaining, as you never know what those adorable kiddos are going to do.

Just outside the Grand Floridian (and other resorts as well) on the Bay Lake, you can find a spot on one of their beaches and catch the nightly Electrical Water Pageant. It comes around 9:15 p.m. at the Grand Floridian, 9:30 at the Wilderness Lodge, 9:45 for the Campgrounds, and 10:00 p.m. at the Contemporary.

Another cool freebie, is that from many of these spots, you can also see the fireworks from the Magic Kingdom!

Moving onto more resorts, there are a couple where you can go to see some cool animals for free. The first one isn’t surprising, it’s the Animal Kingdom Lodge, and they have a lot of really cool animals that you can go and see, even if you’re not staying at the resort. The other place that you might not expect, is the Campsites at Fort Wilderness Lodge where you can go to Tri-Circle D Ranch. This is where they keep Cinderella’s horses and you can visit them for free!

Then, we go on to Disney’s Boardwalk where each evening you can see various street performers that are entertaining up and down the boardwalk. The walk around the boardwalk, is a great thing you can do for free as well. You can also take a boat ride from there for free. It goes to Hollywood Studios and Epcot, but also to Port Orleans, which is an amazing boat ride! The scenery is simply stunning!

Speaking of transportation, did you know many of the transportation drivers have trading cards? This fun freebie is something you can have your kiddos (or you, if you are interested) ask the drivers if they have a card. They are super fun to collect!

There are other cards you can collect at Disney as well. These are the Sorcerer’s of the Kingdom cards. They are a fun cards that are also an interactive game you can play inside the Magic Kingdom! You can ask for them at the Firehouse on Main Street, U.S.A.

Also in the parks you can get the following things for free: park maps, ice water (be sure to bring a water bottle to fill up), and in Epcot, they offer a bunch of sodas from around the world that you can try at Club Cool. You can also get First Aid for free at any of the parks. And for younger kids, you can get stickers and kids under the age of three get into the parks for free. They also eat free at buffets and family style restaurants.

A few final things connected to the parks are the Photo Pass, which does cost money if you want to purchase their pictures. HOWEVER, you can also ask the photographers to take pictures with your own camera and they will do that for FREE! So don’t be shy!

And then there’s the My Disney Experience App which is free to download and is available for Androids or iPhones. It is an amazing resource that you are definitely going to want to download, even prior to you trip to the parks.

Disney Springs

I wanted to end by discussing some freebies at Disney Springs.

My kiddos love the Lego Store and we have to stop in there to pick something up every trip. But they also love the areas where you can build things, these areas are all free to use. They even have a place where you can build cars to race. My fellas always have to spend time building and racing their creations and I love that it’s something we can do that doesn’t cost anything!

Across from the Lego Store is a large pavilion where they often offer free entertainment. Groups come from all over to perform and it’s always an eclectic collection of acts. Kids’ Choirs to professional bands, you never know what will be going on, but it’s always fun and it’s always free!

Finally, I saved the best for last! This is my favorite freebie at Disney Springs, and it’s also located close to the Lego Store. Each trip we have to stop so I can get my free piece of chocolate from Ghirardelli! Even if we stuff our faces with actual sundaes/ice cream, I still need to stop in to the store and pick up my free little piece of heaven!
